The Royal Hotel - Cromarty

Situated just 25 miles from Inverness on the shores of the Cromarty Firth, the dog-friendly Royal Hotel is the perfect place to visit to enjoy a couple of nights away or a longer break.

Overlooking the harbour and enjoying stunning views of the Cromarty Firth & the Sutherland mountains in the distance, the Royal was taken over by a local farmer’s daughter in 2010 and offers a tranquil setting and exceptional Highland hospitality.

Guests return time and time again, whether for a drink in the cosy bar in front of a log fire, to eat in the contemporary restaurant or for a romantic weekend break in one of the eight stylish bedrooms. Each of our guest bedrooms have a unique layout, design & character, have sea views and feature antiques, luxurious fabrics & original artwork, giving a boutique feel.

As all our rooms are different, certain amenities may not be available in every room. If you have a specific preference or requirement, please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Complimentary WiFi is available to all hotel guests enabling you to keep in touch with home or the office from the comfort of your bedroom and the public areas of the hotel.

Room 3 (superior twin/double/triple) and Room 4 (standard double) now welcome one small/medium-sized dog in each room. Providing he/she is on a lead and is well-behaved, your four-legged friend is welcome to join you throughout the hotel, with the exception of our lounge bar restaurant.

Our newly-refurbished self-catering apartment is located within the Royal Hotel & boasts sea views from every room. It sleeps four and is the perfect place to relax with family & friends and your pet.
