The Kylesku Hotel

The Kylesku Hotel is a family run, old coaching inn dating back to 1680, and is situated by the former ferry slipway on the shores of Loch Glendhu.

Our aim is simple: to tempt you with the freshest, local, quality food, in welcoming, friendly and comfortable surroundings. We hope our wealth of local knowledge will help you to get the most out of your stay here.

There is something here for everyone. Our guests come first, and we are happy to help you to plan your itineraries whether by car, on foot or pedal power. Whether you are here for a week’s stay or just popping in for a coffee, we hope that as soon as you leave you will be longing to return.

All rooms are furnished to a high standard and are all equipped with hair dryers, TV & tea and coffee facilities. We have 7 Loch Facing Rooms, 2 Rear Facing Rooms and 2 small double Attic Rooms (they have the same comforts as all our other rooms, however, note the sloped ceiling which make the rooms feel very compact) . Except for the Attic Rooms, all our rooms have an en-suite shower room or bathroom.

Whilst we are able to offer Wifi access, we are having to rely on a satellite connection which can be slow at times.

We have received a number of awards for our food, most recently from the 2017 Scottish Hotel Awards where we were given the “Informal Restaurant Hotel of the year” for the Highlands region.

All our lobsters, langoustines, crabs and spineys are creel caught and are fished in the waters surrounding the hotel. To accompany the food, we have an interesting wine list, real local ales and an ever growing collection of single malt whiskies & Scottish gins.

Our recent refurbishment, whilst keeping the charm and warmth of Kylesku, gives a more contemporary look to the whole dining area. The Bar is at the heart of the action. Always busy and frequented by locals and tourists alike.
