Orton Holiday Cottages offer our guests a relaxing Scottish Highlands vacation in the heart of idyllic Speyside. We have a selection of beautifully restored farm houses and cottages that furnish our guests with a tasteful mix of rustic charm and 21st Century convenience.

Our holiday lets range in size from snug two bedroomed cottages to spacious farmhouses able to accommodate parties of fifteen. You can stay with us full-board, half-board or self-catering and all our properties are pet friendly. And remember, the Orton Holiday Cottage experience is tailor-made.

The Orton Estate is bookended by the dramatic glens of the Cairngorms National Park to the South and the sandy beaches of the Moray Firth to the North: a stretch of coastline the National Geographic lists amongst the top ten coastal destinations in the world. Nearby are some of Scotland’s finest golf courses, Castle Stuart and Royal Dornoch amongst them.

Speyside is home to more than half of Scotland’s malt whisky distilleries, including some of the most famous such as Glenfiddich, Glenlivet and Cardhu. Speyside enjoys a thriving arts and cultural scene and there is over a thousand years of history waiting to be discovered.

For guests looking to experience traditional Scottish countryside sports the Orton Estate is home to three miles of riverbank on the River Spey, renowned the world over for superb salmon and sea trout fishing. We offer bespoke packages and itinerates: including ghillie support, equipment hire, riverside accommodation and a range of catering options. All of which makes the Orton Estate a great venue for a fishing holiday in the Highlands of Scotland.

Guests can relax in style in front of the open fire in the sophisticated Drawing room where any musicians can showcase their talents on the stunning Steinway Grand Piano – the perfect place to enjoy a pre-dinner drink/cocktail or simply to relax and read the papers.

Stairs down to the basement lead to the Billiard Room with full sized billiard table which has seen many a convivial evening as guests enjoy a game of post-dinner snooker and a glass or two of locally distilled whisky! Also down here is the Wine Cellar which holds a selection of unique and unusual wine should guests be so inclined.

There are 8 bedrooms on the first floor and 4 bedrooms on the second floor.

Dogs are accepted at Burgie House only with the prior consent of the Owners and must be kept under control at all times.
