Newhall Cottage

Newhall cottage is located on the Island of Bressay which is on the East coast of Shetland just less than a 10 minute ferry crossing on the inter island car Ferry from the heart of Shetlands Capital Lerwick.

Set on its own in a peaceful location with views across the harbour to Lerwick, our cottage makes the perfect place to relax and unwind while exploring the sights and activities the beautiful Shetland Islands has to offer.

The cottage is a traditional Shetland croft house which has been refurbished to a high standard providing three comfortable bedrooms which can provide accommodation for up to six guests. Wi-Fi.

The cottage sleeps up to six people, with a double bedroom on the ground floor, large family bedroom on the first floor with double bed and a single bed and a further single bedroom on the first floor. Bedding is provided and our comfortable beds will be made up and ready for your arrival.

The lounge is a large room with views over the harbour. There is ample lounge chairs and sofa to relax at the fire place with an attractive coal effect fire.

The kitchen is well equipped with the following; fridge freezer, electric cooker with fan oven and ceramic hob, electric kettle, electric toaster, microwave oven, cutlery & crockery, pots & pans, washing machine. The bathroom has been completely refurbished and fitted with a large shower unit with electric shower, wash hand basin and toilet.

Electricity is inclusive in the price. All rooms are centrally heated. Sufficient crockery and utensils are provided to the maximum number of guests. Towels and bed linen is supplied for all guests.

There is a local shop on the Island which sells groceries, petrol and includes the local post office. The shop is less than a ten minute walk from the cottage.

The island of Bressay is the fifth largest of the Shetland Islands with a human population of around 300 who are significantly outnumbered by the population of seabirds and mammals around the shore.
