Welcome to Larch Cottage, our self-catering chalet in beautiful Glenisla, the most westerly of the Angus Glens.
Glenisla is one of the prettiest of the Angus Glens, and is a great centre for numerous outdoor activities, including cycling, hillwalking and fishing, and for exploring further afield in Angus and Perthshire.
Our chalet is a single luxury pine bungalow built beside the River Isla, near the small village of Kirkton of Glenisla, approximately 10 miles from Alyth and Kirriemuir.
Built in 2004, the chalet is furnished to a high standard and has fitted carpets and electric heaters in all rooms, and a log-burning stove in the sitting area. The sloping ceilings, large windows, and southern exposure make the chalet very light and spacious.
The chalet is rated as '3 star self-catering' by the Scottish Tourist Board (VisitScotland). The accommodation is as follows:
There is a sofa-bed in the living room which would take an additional child/small adult. If you would like to use this, please let us know in advance as linen and bedding are not automatically supplied for this.
A verandah/balcony runs round the front of the building looking out to the river. There is also a small store-room at the back suitable for bikes, skis etc.
The chalet is well-equipped with an electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge (with small freezer compartment), electric kettle etc. Other features include:
There is a small village shop and a hotel and bar approximately 500 metres away.
Dogs may be allowed by prior arrangement only. East Mill is a working farm and there will be cattle and/or sheep in the adjacent fields.
Alyth has 3 grocers, and there are Tesco stores in Kirriemuir and Blairgowrie.
