The Inn on the Tay is perfectly located, nestled on the banks of the River Tay in the conservation area of Strathtay and Grandtully Village. Close to the Tay Forest Park the Inn is in a truly unspoilt corner of Highland Perthshire.

A warm and friendly welcome sets the tone for a memorable overnight stay in one of our six family sized rooms. With an emphasis on creating the perfect relaxing environment, we aim to help you to truly unwind.We pride ourselves in presenting our bright, fresh rooms with their cosy decoration.

From our restaurant and bar all our guests can enjoy the incredible views of the river Tay as it passes the Grandtully rapids. However, four of our rooms offer the unrivalled opportunity to experience the spectacle from the privacy of your own armchair. This has proven to make our rooms highly sought after spots for a romantic short break, family holiday or for some well earned respite from the daily grind.

The Inn on the Tay welcomes well behaved dogs. Our resident happy hounds, Charlie and Guinness, are very friendly and enthusiastic about visiting dogs and their owners. Your pooch can expect lots of loving fuss from our doggie loving staff. Within walking distance from our car park there are plenty of walkies ripe for sniffing and exploring, your four-legged friend will be sure to feel at home.

The hotel offers 3 dog-friendly rooms, choose from; Tilt, Braan and Lyon room. Welcoming touches include our very special doggy treats in your room on arrival with a welcome letter too. Please note, if your dog is staying with you, there will be an additional charge of £10 per dog per stay.

Our cosy wee bar is a popular venue for all walks of life. Alongside weary walkers and laughing locals, wetsuit-clad rafters can be found enjoying the craic with gamekeepers in their tweed finery.

Our head chef and his committed team create dishes for all the family from Scotland’s culinary larder and a wealth of local ingredients. With an emphasis on exceptional quality and seasonal freshness from land and sea.
