Ford House

Ford House is situated in the village of Creagorry in Benbecula, 200 yards from the South Ford causeway, which links Benbecula to South Uist.

It is an ideal central location for easy access to all local amenities and throughout the islands for your own interests. There are plenty of activities and outdoor pursuits to participate in such as fishing, hill walking, cycling, bird watching, beach combing, boat tour, canoeing, etc.

Ford House has comfortably furnished sitting room with an open fire, digital LCD TV and DVD and CD/radio. Adjacent is the dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, automatic washing machine, microwave, crockery and kitchen utensils. Tumble dryer and drying facilities are also available within the front porch. To the rear of the ground floor is a double bedroom with en-suite. Wifi is provided also.

Upstairs there are a further three bedrooms comprising two twin rooms with single beds with the remaining is a double bedroom. One of the twin rooms and the double room, both have vanity basins, shower cubicles and built-in mirror wardrobes. The main bathroom is also situated on this floor with toilet, wash hand basin, bath and separate shower cubicle.

Outside is the enclosed garden with rotary dryer. The remainder of the property has ample car parking with a traditional byre available for storing outdoor clothings, bikes, fishing rods, canoes and other gear.

Access is also available to the family croft which has cattle and sheep as well as a variety of natural habitats containing varying flora and fauna.

Smoking is not permitted in the premises and pets are allowed only by prior arrangement.

Ford House is open all year round and is let out on a weekly basis, Saturday to Saturday. We can also offer short breaks (subject to availability).

Five miles from the house is the main village of Balivanich where there are two small supermarkets (one with post office), airport, community riding stable, the Stepping Stone restaurant, Bank of Scotland, and Benbecula Golf course.

We are also ideally and centrally situated for exploring the neighbouring islands of Berneray, Eriskay, North & South Uist and allowing for day trips to further islands such as Barra, Lewis and Harris.
