Cloag Farm Cottages

Cloag Farm, Methven, Perthshire PH1 3RR

Business Details

Cloag Farm Cottages are three family-run farm holiday self-catering cottages in the heart of Perthshire.

Cloag Farm Cottages are three comfortable family-run self-catering properties with stunning views over Strathearn, which offer the chance to enjoy the peace and quiet of the spectacular Perthshire countryside.

Located between Perth and Crieff, Cloag Farm looks out over Methven village and is an ideal base for exploring Perthshire. The cottages are a real home from home, well equipped and with modern furnishings. Free Wi-Fi is provided, and the village with its amenities is within walking distance.

Cloag Farm Cottages are safely set away from main roads and traffic, and have panoramic southerly views. The cottages have ample parking immediately beside them, and are surrounded by lawns, with mature woodland as a backdrop.

Each cottage sleeps up to four in one double and one twin bedroom. The twin bedrooms have single beds in West and Centre Cottage and stacked bunks in the East Cottage. The bedding is continental quilts, sheets, pillows and blankets, and is included in the price.

The kitchens have electric cooking and come with the usual full range of equipment, including a fridge, microwave and automatic washing machine.

All cottages have full oil-fired central heating and hot water. There is always coal available for the open fires. TVs have “Freeview” and a DVD player. Each cottage has a telephone.

We welcome well-behaved pets, but insist that they bring and use their own beds.

The village of Methven is within walking distance or two minutes by car and Perth itself is 15 minutes by car and is an excellent shopping centre with a wide choice of shops and supermarkets.

Perthshire is full of things to see and do and has a rich legacy of castles, churches, battlefields and historic sites. Craft industries abound, making everything from whisky, to glass paperweights, which can all be visited and sampled. It is also a wonderful place for hill walking, whether you are a beginner or a real stalwart. Golfers will appreciate the many golf courses within Perthshire itself with their modest green fees. There is an exciting range of outdoor active things to do, like white-water rafting, quad biking or even bungee jumping for the bravest.
