Clachan Cottage Hotel

Loch Earn is a stunningly beautiful fresh water Loch running East-West with a southern shore panorama of two magnificent Munroe Mountains Ben Vorlich and Stuc a Chroin. Sunrises and sunsets turn the loch a golden colour. The Loch is 7 miles long and up to a mile wide. It is 3 times deeper than the North Sea and is the only inland loch with a small tide. The west side at Lochearnhead is sheltered and calm and is ideal for boating pursuits and waterskiing. Ospreys can frequently be seen fishing in the Loch.

The Clachan Cottage Hotel in Perthshire with its picturesque lochside position beside Lochearn is ideally suited for all kinds of holiday breaks, the location of the hotel directly on the shore of lochearn is one of the most enviable locations in Scotland, the views from the hotel across to the historic Edinample Castle are simply astounding, fresh colours of spring, long summer evenings watching the sunset over Ben Vorlich, with the resident Ospreys circling overhead looking to swoop down and catch a trout in front of your very eyes, our patio is the ideal spot to just take in the beauty and splendour of Lochearnhead.

Cyclists cant resist the Glenogle trail and route 7 of the sustrans cycle networks is just five minutes away, a cyclists paradise on the doorstep. Originally built as a row of cottages, the Clachan cottage hotel has been extended over the years to provide 20 letting rooms, Castle view function room, Clachan dining area and Rowan Restaurant.

We have 20 different bedrooms, each one of them newly refurbished to a very high standard, offering something to please everyone.

Each room has Ensuite bath or shower facilities with luxury toiletries and fluffy white egyptian cotton towels. Bedrooms come fully equipped with the following:

Pets are welcome in this pet-friendly hotel (not all rooms), great dog walking nearby on the Glenogle trail or through Glenample.

There is also a self-catering cottage available for those wanting the ultimate home from home, Glenview sleeps five and is next to the hotel.

The hotel has undergone a huge culinary transformation under the current ownership, fresh food in season is the order of the day with most of the herbs and salad greens supplied from the owners farm in Perthshire. Free range eggs are also home grown with all seasonal game coming from surrounding estates.
