Bracara Cottage

Bracara Cottage is located in the remote West Coast Highlands of Scotland. It is approx. 45 miles from Fort William, 3 miles from Morar, 7 miles from Mallaig and Arisaig.

With access to some of the most beautiful scenery, remote hillside and wilderness of the Highlands. The stunning views of Loch Morar and hillside from the house. Take in the Silver Sands of Morar, on a summer's day there is no better place to be!

The cottage has two large bedrooms to the front of the house, one with king size bed and one with double bed and sofa bed. It also has a smaller bedroom with bunkbeds. The house can sleep 6 with additional sofa bed and offers a main bathroom upstairs with Shower over bath and downstairs cloak.

Fully fitted kitchen/dining including Integrated appliances - hob, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave, Nespresso coffee machine. A washing machine and tumble dryer are located in the Utility room.

The lounge area offers a relaxing environment with a multi fuel/log burner to sit around with your family and relax with a cup of tea or a wee dram! in here you'll find a Freeview Smart TV, DVD player and a wide range of DVDs, selection of books and games. There is also an additional dining area off set from the living room.

The house is enclosed in a fenced area and can accommodate two cars (additional cars can be parked outside the gate in the croft but please bear in mind that this also used by the local Sheep and is not a fenced area). The house is surrounded by trees to the back and a mature garden at the front with a seating area, charcoal BBQ (charcoal not supplied) and washing drying area to the side, there is also a stream that flows at the side of the garden. There is access to the hillside and croft land straight from the house.

Included within the rental charge are Wi-Fi, electricity, heating oil, bed linen and towels

Pets are welcome (2 maximum) - on the strict condition that all pets are kept downstairs, not left unattended in the house and a non refundable surcharge of £25 is applied.

Lots to see and do in the local area, take the Calmac ferry to Skye or to the Small Isles (Rhum, Eigg, Canna, Muck) or a trip up to the most remote mainland pub in the UK - the Old Forge which can only be accessed by sea (Western Isles Cruises) or by foot. If you fancy a spot of Fishing, Loch Morar has wild trout and Salmon (Loch Morar Fishing), or Sea fishing in the Atlantic!. Explore the craggy coastline by sea kayaking from Arisaig. Hire a boat on Loch Morar and dare to spend a night in the infamous Bothy at the head of the loch, beware of Morag though (she's Nessie's cousin!).
