Balnagore Moss Estate

Balnagore Moss Estate offers two substantial former farmhouses and a single-storey “Arran”-style cottage for holiday rental.

All three well-appointed properties are situated on the undisturbed west coast of Arran in the hamlet of Machrie, an area of outstanding natural beauty and a haven for wildlife. Each house affords stunning views of the surrounding countryside; a mixture of sea, moorland and hills, with the famous Goat Fell peak in the distance.

Less than a mile away is the Machriewater river for fishing, Machrie’s 9 hole golf course, tea room, tennis court and children’s play area. There is access here to the unspoilt seashore.

Cairnfield
Cairnfield is a beautifully proportioned traditional former farmhouse built in the 1870’s, and sleeps ten people - 2 double, 2 twin, 2 single.

There are extensive enclosed gardens leading off the old farmyard, with ample parking space for several cars.

The house is accessed via a private lane, and is a four minute walk from the sea.

Rowanbank
Rowanbank is a white painted old Arran cottage which in earlier times was both a farm and Machrie’s post office and shop, and sleeps five people - 2 x twin (1 x double on request), 1 single.

The large graveled area to the front provides ample parking for several cars, and sits just off the local quiet country ‘C’ road.

Balnagore
Balnagore is a traditional sandstone former farmhouse built at the end of the 19th century, and sleeps up to 11 people - 3 double, 2 twin, 1 single.

The house sits within its’ own grounds on the edge of Machrie Moor, less than a mile from the Neolithic Standing Stone Circles.

Balnagore is accessed via a private drive, and provides ample parking for several cars.

Broadband internet service provided.

Well behaved dogs are welcome in all properties. Note: the surrounding fields are full of sheep.
